Haiti Speaks

Haiti Speaks, A documentary that traverses the ruins after the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti in 2010 and excavates layer after layer of history and culture to find the voice of a nation that has been largely neglected and unheard.

Directed by Ashley Ellis of Emerald City Arts, Haiti Speaks follows a team of doctors from The Gift of Sight, an American non-profit that takes an annual medical mission trip to Haiti, to document their work operating on hundreds of patients in the span of a week. This trip, however, is different.

Matthew was called on to score the original music for the feature documentary.
